08-03-2019 Recruitment of Community Ambassadors

Friday 8th March 2019

Dear Parents, Carers,

Re: Recruitment of WHCPS Community Ambassadors – Voluntary Positions

At Whitehouse, we are proud of the strong partnership we have with our parents and carers.

Family members regularly visit the school to attend events.

Volunteers give up their time to support children in the classroom

Members of the PFA (Parents and Friends Association) raise additional funds for our children.

Building on this success, we would now like to recruit Community Ambassadors who will work with us to ensure pupils are achieving well in school and are happy. Community Ambassadors could be parents, carers or any other adult family members. Please see the poster on page 2 for more information.

All our Community Ambassadors will work as volunteers and will have to comply with our Volunteers Policy which can be found on our website. http://www.whcps.org/policies/

Although not paid, this position will enable family members to make a difference to children’s lives in their community whilst acquiring skills and professional experience which will be useful when they search for work in the future.

If you would like to become a Community Ambassador, please come to our information meeting at 9.00am on Tuesday 26th March 2019.

Looking forward to welcoming you to the school on this occasion,

With Regards,

Mme Catherine Godet

Enrichment and Parental/Community Engagement Coordinator
