17th December 2018
We are delighted to announce that, after the Christmas holidays, we are altering our nursery provision at Whitehouse Community Primary school. We are making these changes to better meet the needs of our children and offer our parents the chance to access a greater number of hours with us.
As from January we are offering the full 30 hours free child care entitlement. There are certain criteria a family needs to meet to claim 30 hours entitlement, so in addition to the current 15 hours we are also offering the chance for parents to pay for additional hours. However, parents can still stay with their existing 15 hours if they so wish and any parents wishing to swap to afternoon Nursery please enquire at the office.
To see if your family is eligible to claim the 30 hours free childcare please refer to: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. Please note for families claiming these hours there will be an additional charge for the lunchtime period of £15 per week. Children will be required to provide a packed lunch.
We will also be offering the extra hours to families who are not eligible for the 30 hours entitlement but would like to pay for the extra 15 hours. The charge for this will be £63 per week with an additional charge for lunchtime supervision (£15 per week). Children would need to bring in a packed lunch.
You can find more information on the school website in Appendix A of our new Nursery Admissions Policy, which can be found http://www.whcps.org/admissions/
We are extremely excited to now be offering our community these additional hours. We know it will ensure greater inclusivity and the chance to welcome more families through our doors.
If you have any questions, would like more information, or would like to book your child in for 30 hours in our nursery, please speak to Mrs Davey in the school office or Mrs Anderson, our Business Manager.
