Here is our class charter:
When we care about each other and our classroom, we share, take turns and help each other learn. We come to school with everything we need for the day. We invite each other to play together in the playground, especially if someone is looking lonely. We say "Please", "Thank you", "I'm sorry", "How are you?" and "Let me help you". We work together as a team. We listen carefully, always try our best, work hard, give each other praise and have fun together. We know that everyone makes mistakes and we will never laugh or make fun of them. We know that mistakes can help us to learn. We think about what is right and stop when someone asks us to. This is who we are even when no-one is watching!
I hope to show you some of the exciting things that we have been doing in our class recently as well as to let you know about what will be happening in the coming weeks and months.
We worked hard and had lots of fun this week! Look at how much litter we picked up in 10 minutes!

Dragons: Fact or Fiction?
Since the start of the Spring term, we have enjoyed exploring stories and facts about dragons, trying to decide if they are or were real!
In Literacy, we have enjoyed hearing and writing about the story of St George and the Dragon and the poem of Custard the Dragon. See some pictures of us creating scenes from the poem below. We had to learn verses from this too! There is a recording below to listen to and join in.
In history, we found out more about the other patron saints of the United Kingdom as well as national symbols of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
In geography, we had to research the best place in the UK for a dragon to live, thinking about human and physical features then we researched some places where legends say that dragons have been found.
Our current homework topic is to make a 3-d model of a dragon out of 'junk' and this is due in on the first day after half term.
In art, we have made collage dragons and stained glass pictures of dragons - watch this space for photos soon!
