Dragon Stories

This week we read some dragon stories, “George and the Dragon” by Chris Wormell, “There’s no such thing as a dragon” By Jack Kent and “The Great Dragon Rescue” by M. P. Robertson. All the stories were different and we thought about which elements we would like to steal for the stories we are going to write. We then chose our favourite story and wrote a story map for it in a group of 3. Some of us shared these with the class.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been reading and writing dragon poems!

We have really enjoyed practising and performing them.

Below are some of the poems that we have been reading.

Practice them at home and show your friends and family the actions you made up to go with them.

This week we made our own versions of Oliver Jeffer's 'Stuck'. We loved making our books and using our imaginations to make our writing really interesting! We have taken them home to read to our families and friends.
