05-01-2021 Information for Children Attending School

5th January 2021

Allocation of Places for Critical Workers and Vulnerable Children

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. The critical worker and vulnerable children bubbles have now been set up for this week and you should have received a text message confirming a space for your child. School will be open from 8.40 am until 3.10 pm daily. The entrance doors will be open from 8.30 am to ensure social distancing can be maintained on the playground. Your child will need to enter the school building at the following access points:

Bubble 0 (Nursery and Reception) - Marlow Road Car Park

Bubble 1 (Year 1) – KS1 playground

Bubble 2 (Year 2) – KS1 playground

Bubble 3 (Year 3) – Waterford Road Car Park

Bubble 4 (Year 4) – Waterford Road Car Park

Bubble 5 (Year 5) – Waterford Road Car Park

Bubble 6 (Year 6) – Waterford Road Car Park

Please ensure that your child arrives at school between 8.30 and 8.40 am so that we can lock the gates promptly and can avoid unnecessary movement through the school building. Children will remain in their allocated bubbles for the week. Where possible, the children will have the same members of staff working with them all week (please remember that some staff work part-time, so bubbles may have more than one staff member or a child may require additional support). If you have been allocated a place at school and you choose not to send your child in, please ensure that you notify the school as soon as possible so that we can register an absence or allocate a place to another child.

Children will need to attend school in comfortable, warm clothing that is suitable for outdoor play and exercise.

This week we are not able to offer hot dinners but a pick and mix option will be available for children in school if they are entitled to universal free school meals (EYFS/KS1), free school meals or paid dinners. Alternatively, a packed lunch can be sent in. Please ensure that your child has a named water bottle.

The school will be following our robust coronavirus risk assessment. Please note if a child or adult tests positive for coronavirus within a bubble the most current guidance will be followed. Please ensure that you notify us immediately if your child or family member has coronavirus symptoms.

School places will need to be booked weekly. More information will follow as we set up new systems across the school.

Thank you for continued support,
