Viking Celebration Day
To celebrate the end of our Vikings Topic, Year 4 will be holding a Viking Celebration Day on Tuesday 17th December 2019. This will give the children a chance to experience the sights, sounds and even smells of living aboard a long ship. They will be able to haggle in the market place, feast in the longhouse and learn how to form a shield wall.
We would love the children to dress up for the day, if possible, in a Viking costume. Please note the costume can be very simple, with either beige, brown or green t-shirt and trousers. If you have any questions regarding the costume please speak to your child’s teacher.
As this is the day our younger children will be having their hot Christmas Dinner, unless you have already booked a pick and mix lunch (option only available to children on Free School Meals), please ensure your child brings a packed lunch. We will eat our lunch together, like a Viking feast!
We hope the children will find it an enjoyable day and thank you for your continued support.
With best regards
