14th December 2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this letter finds you well.
As you may be aware, on the evening of Friday 11th December the Government suddenly announced that the isolation period for contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 would be reducing from 14 days to 10 days: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-chief-medical-officers-statement-on-the-self-isolation-period-11- december-2020
We have now received confirmation from the Government’s Department for Education (DfE) that this applies to children and staff who are currently isolating, as well as those who may need to self-isolate from now on.
Therefore, as a result of this change required by the Government, the classes currently isolating who have been in isolation for 10 days or more can return to school on the following days:
|Class||Return Date to School|
Children in isolation from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Children in isolation from Year 3 and 5 Breakfast Club
|Tuesday 15th December|
Isolation finishes 20th December
Tuesday 5th January 2021
We look forward to welcoming the children back to school on these days. Please remember, do not send your child back to school if they have any symptoms of coronavirus, if a household member is being tested for coronavirus or if there is a positive coronavirus case in your household.
Thank you for your understanding and support regarding the continual changes.
