Year 1 - Felixstowe Trip
We are writing to inform you about a trip we are organising for Year 1 to Felixstowe on Monday 8th July. This is in connection with our enquiry topic, “Why do we like being beside the seaside so much?”
We kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £5.00. We would be grateful if you could send payment in along with the attached consent form.
We will be visiting Landguard Fort first to look at the Port and the river as well as the container ships. From here, we will be walking to Martello Park across the nature reserve. We will have lunch and then we will explore the beach. We hope to return to school for normal home time but please be aware that traffic may effect this. If we are late back, children will be collected from the Marlow Road hall, next to the reception office.
Children will need to bring a packed lunch (unless requested on the permission form) and plenty of water for drinking. All children will need a rucksack. They do not need to wear uniform and should wear clothes that are suitable for the beach, also for the weather that day – whether it is hot or rainy. They will also need to be wearing sun block, hats and as we will be doing a lot of walking so suitable footwear (trainers are preferable) will need to be worn. Morning snack will be provided so children do not need to bring spending money.
If you have any queries please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Thank you for your continued support.
