Ipswich Museum Trip – Year 3
Dear Parents/Carers
We are writing to inform you about an exciting trip we have organised for year 3 this term, in connection with our History Topic on the Stone Age to the Iron Age. We have booked a visit to Ipswich Museum on Friday 16th November.
The trip will take place during the normal school day. We will leave school at 9:30am and return by approximately 2:45pm. Your child will require a packed lunch, drink (NO GLASS BOTTLES OR FIZZY DRINKS PLEASE), and a snack. If your child is entitled to Free School Meals please indicate on the attached form if you would like us to provide a school packed lunch.
The cost per child is a voluntary contribution of £5.00, which covers coach travel and workshops. Please return the attached consent form along with this amount by 8th November. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience history ‘hands on.’ We will
See and handle real items from the stone age
Take part in a ‘hunter gatherer’ team challenge
Consider how life would have been different in the iron age
See the replica baby woolly mammoth!
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Year 3 teachers
