22-01-2021 KS2 Live Lesson Schedule

22nd January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers of children in KS2,

I hope that this letter finds you well and that your children were able to successfully access the first live lessons today. We are aware there were a few problems when connecting to the classes for some children, so please ensure that you check the helpful guidance on our website for more information. This is a new way of working for everyone, so please be patient and remember that technology can sometimes be unreliable!

We have organised the live lessons for the next two weeks to support the recorded lessons and assignments. Please note that each week, the teachers will provide a full timetable of lessons and how they will be organised daily to ensure the greatest success for the children’s home learning. Timetables will be uploaded to Google Classroom on a Friday for the following week and we hope that you will find this useful. We have endeavoured to put the lessons at exactly the same time every day to allow families the time to organise their days and share devices.

We will continue to monitor the children’s engagement in home learning and offer advice and support, so please let us know if you are experiencing any problems. SLT will also drop into the live lessons to check that everyone is engaging in their lessons and to monitor lessons as we would normally do if the children were in school.

Finally, if your child hasn’t got access to any technology and you require an iPad to support them with their learning, please contact the school as soon as possible and we will try to help.  We really want all children to succeed and to not miss out on the exciting learning that has been planned at Whitehouse.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Hall
