23-03-2020 Covid-19 Update

Monday 23rd March 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to everyone in our community who are working together to follow the Government advice in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus as much as possible.

As you will be aware, this advice includes rules for self and family isolation where needed and guidance on social distancing for everyone.

Everyone is now advised to stay at least two metres away from others who are not living within the same household.

The advice on children attending schools is clear:

  • School should remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

  • Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be.

As a school, we are working hard to provide childcare for vulnerable children and the children of key workers whose work is critical to our country at this time.  We are committed to doing our very best for the families who have no alternative but to send their children to school at this difficult time.

Having children in school at this time of social isolation and distancing presents many difficulties.  We have to ensure we have enough staff who are well enough to provide childcare and we have to protect the children and staff who are in school as much as we can.  This includes asking all children and adults in school to stay two metres apart.

Please help us to keep our children and their families, and our staff and their families as safe as possible and help prevent the spread of COVID-19 across the community by following the Government advice in keeping your child at home if this is at all possible.

Thank you for your help at this difficult time.

Stay safe,

Yours sincerely,

Mrs A. Hall
