30-12-2020 IMPORTANT: Spring Term and Covid Testing Update

30th December 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope this letter finds you well. As you are aware, Suffolk moved to Tier 4 on 26th December due to the increased levels of Covid-19 within the county.  In line with government guidance shared today, school is set to reopen for the children on Tuesday 5th January and we are looking forward to welcoming all the children back to school. In order to do this safely and confidently, we have been very fortunate to have been provided with a Mobile Testing Unit at Whitehouse for the next few days by Public Health Suffolk.

We would like to say a big thank you to all parents/carers who have booked appointments for the children and their families already and we have received some positive feedback from those who have already attended thanking us for setting up this opportunity.

We would kindly ask if you have not yet booked an appointment to please do so as soon as possible to support the school and community.  By having the whole school community tested we can ensure the school is as safe as possible for everyone when we return next week.

To Book an Appointment:

  • You will be asked to set up a password, and a link will be provided to your email.  When you are inputting your details, please note you will need to select ‘Whitehouse CP School – Pupil.’

  • Open up the email which is sent to you and click on the link provided.  This will then enable you to book your child and family in for a test, at a time which suits you on Thursday 31st December, Saturday 2nd January, Sunday 3rd January or Monday 4th January.

  • If you are unable to book an appointment online, please phone 0333 772 6144 and quote code L5T051.

  • If you are experiencing difficulties booking an appointment, please email and we will endeavour to support you with this process.

At the Appointment:

  • Tests are taking place in the Marlow Road Hall, you are welcome to park in the School car park but please take care of others using this area.

  • Please be patient, there may be a short wait and you will be asked to join the queue.  Please wear your face covering and stand socially distanced to others who are waiting (2 metres).

  • When it is your turn, you will be given a piece of paper with your details on to give to the Medical Worker who is responsible for the testing.  Please do not worry about the test, the excellent Medical Worker will complete the test for you.  It is a simple process and is over in a very short time.

We very much appreciate your continued support and wish you all a Happy New Year.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs A Hall
