How is the School going to use the results of the Survey
to improve lunchtime provision?
The KS2 playground will be divided to include active and quiet play areas.
Sports Prefects are currently being appointed in Year 4 and 5 whose jobs will be to organise and supervise lunchtime activities in the New Year.
The Sports Prefects will offer a range of new sporting activities – chosen by the children - on a rota basis starting in early January.
After Christmas, A KS1 Nature Club and a LKS2 Boardgame Club will be added to the existing lunchtime provision which already includes Reading, Arts & Crafts as well as Chess. A Science Club and a KS1 Culture & Language Club will also be offered after school in the New Year.
The Lunchtime Friendship Scheme will be relaunched with new Friendship Buddies being recruited and trained in the Spring Term.
The Sports Prefects and the Friendship Buddies will work with the School Parliament to redesign the Astroturf area so that it can be used more effectively by pupils. The friendship benches will also get a “facelift”.
Inter-class Sports tournaments will take place at lunchtime in the Spring and Summer Term.
