Arrangements for September 2023
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope that you and your family have had a wonderful summer break and are looking forward to the new term.
As you know, there is an expectation from the Department of Education that all schools should provide a school week of at least 32.5 hours by September 2023. We have therefore altered our school day timings in EYFS and KS1 to accommodate this.
We have staggered our start and end of day timings to allow parents to drop off / collect KS2 children, then KS1 children, then Reception children. The timings also mean that children in KS2 will be able to collect their younger siblings at the end of the day.
The new hours are:
The gates (two on Marlow road and one on Waterford Road) will open at 8:30am and 3:10pm.
Children in years 5 and 6 will be allowed to walk home on their own but you must inform the school in writing if you would like this to happen. Please send an email to parents@whcps.org or send in a letter to the teacher confirming that you would like to give permission.

School gates across the whole school will be locked promptly at 8:55am.
Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time as lessons begin promptly at the beginning of the day.
If your child is unavoidably late please sign them in at the school office on Marlow Road providing a reason for their late arrival.
A map is attached to this letter which shows the location of all classrooms.
