Year 2 Catch-Up Plan
Dear Parents/Carers of children in Year 2,
I hope this letter finds you well.
We have thought very carefully about how to support all of our children throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. As part of this, we have a detailed Catch Up Plan in place to support the children with any gaps in their learning that have formed as a result of the pandemic.
Smaller class sizes enable the children to have access to more individualised teaching and so I am pleased to be able to inform you that our Catch Up Plan includes the addition of another year 3 teacher from September. This will allow the year 2 children, who are currently taught in three classes, to be taught in four smaller classes in year 3. This will be hugely beneficial to the children’s learning as they move to Key Stage 2.
The children will be notified of their new class at the end of June, in preparation for the transition mornings on the 7th and 8th July when they will meet their new teacher.
