Coronavirus Catch Up Premium Plan

The government has announced it will be providing schools with a coronavirus catch-up premium.  Funding will be calculated on a per pupil basis (£80.00 per child). At Whitehouse Community Primary School, we had 558 pupils on roll at the time of assessment. Therefore, we will receive a total of £44,640. This will be paid in instalments in 2020/2021.

The government guidance states that schools should use this funding for specific activities to support the pupils to catch up any lost learning. Schools have the flexibility to spend their funding in the best way for their pupils and circumstances. To support schools to make the best use of the funding, the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) has published a coronavirus support guide for schools with evidence based approaches. Whitehouse Community Primary has used this guidance to support their decisions. We have also applied for additional funding from the IOA (Ipswich Opportunity Area). A detailed plan of our approach is attached.
