Year 1 - Felixstowe Trip
Dear Parent/Carer,
We are writing to inform you about a trip we are organising to Felixstowe on Tuesday the 12th of July.
This is in connection with our enquiry question “Why do we love the seaside?” We kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £5.00 towards the cost of the coaches. We would be grateful if you could pay via Arbor or send payment into school with the attached consent form. The bus will be leaving school promptly at 9:30am, so please ensure your child is here on time (8:50am)
First, we will be visiting Landguard Fort to look at the Port and the container ships. From here, we will walk to Martello Park through the nature reserve. After this, we will have lunch and then explore the beach. We will return to school for normal home time. Children will need to bring a packed lunch (unless a free school pick and mix is requested on the permission form) and plenty of water for drinking. All children will need a rucksack to carry their lunch and a bucket and spade should they wish to bring this along.
The children do not need to wear school uniform and should wear clothes that are suitable for the beach, also for the weather that day – whether it is hot or rainy. They will also need to be wearing sun cream, sun hats and as we will be doing plenty of walking, suitable footwear (trainers are preferable). Morning snack will be provided so children do not need to bring spending money.
