Year 1 Felixstowe: Change of Date
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to inform you that unfortunately it is necessary for the Y1 trip to Felixstowe to be postponed due to the heat health alert that has been issued for this week in the East of England. Although it will be cooler near the sea, the walking expectations for the children and the lack of shade means the children would be exposed to the extreme heat unnecessarily.
We have secured another date to visit Felixstowe which is Wednesday 20th July when the temperature is forecast to be much cooler.
We hope you understand our decision to change the date as the children’s safety and welfare always takes precedence.
