Dear Parents/Carers,
We are delighted to offer Puffins class the chance to experience ‘Forest School’ from next week.
‘Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.’
This will take place within the school grounds on Thursday afternoons starting from Thursday 27th April for 4 weeks. Mrs Vince is a fully qualified ‘forest school’ practitioner and will be leading these sessions.
Please can you send your child to school on these Thursdays with a pair of old trousers, some welly boots and an old coat as they are likely to get messy! (Preferably in a named bag that can stay in school).
