EYFS Reception– Trip to Easton Farm Park

Dear Parents/Carers,

The EYFS Reception classes have planned a visit to Easton Farm Park in line with their summer topic Stuck in the Muck – farm animals and farming’.  This will take place on Thursday 8th May 2025. We will be leaving school at 9:15am so children will need to arrive at school promptly at 8:50am. We will return to school at approximately 2.30pm, in time for the end of the school day.

For this visit, your child will need to wear their usual school uniform with comfortable footwear (e.g. trainers – not sandals / open toe shoes please).  We will be outside for the whole visit so your child will need to be prepared for either wet weather or sunshine - please pack a waterproof coat and a sun hat.

All children in reception are entitled to a meal provided under the Universal Free School Meal funding.  If you would like your child to be provided with a free school packed lunch please indicate on the attached form.  Otherwise, please provide your child with a packed lunch and a drink (no glass bottles, sweets or fizzy drinks please).

This trip is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience seeing a range of farm animals in real life.  The cost per child is a voluntary contribution of £15.00 which covers the cost of coach travel and entry to the farm park.

At Whitehouse, we value the importance of trips as they help the children to engage with their learning and provide opportunities for the children to deepen their understanding through first hand experiences. Please remember that educational trips are not intended to be optional as they are part of our school curriculum.

Payments can be made either via the school office or on Arbor.  Please return the enclosed consent form and indicate whether you would like the school to provide a packed lunch for your child by Friday 25th April 2025.

If you have any questions about the trip please feel free to ask.

Thank you for your continued support.
