Sports Day

KS1 and KS2 Sports Day  - 2020/2021

Following the disappointment of not being able to have a Sports Day last year, we were all extremely excited to be able have our KS1 and KS2 Sports Day events last week. A lot of careful planning went into ensuring that we were able to deliver COVID-safe sports day events for each year group. Despite the current Government restrictions forcing us to make change to our usual planning, we were very proud to be able to invite parents and carers to be able to share the individual Sports Day events with us. The hot temperatures over the two days definitely didn’t deter the effort and enthusiasm of the pupils. Each and every one of them were absolutely amazing and put 100% effort into each activity, demonstrating 'The Whitehouse Way' throughout.

The results from the KS1 and KS2 events were as follows:

A big thank you to all pupils, staff and spectators for making the KS1 and KS2 Sports Day events extremely successful! We are now very much looking forward to the EYFS and Nursery Sports Day Events on Thursday 15th July.

EYFS Sports Day - 2020/2021

Thursday 15th July 2021 saw both Nursery and Reception take part in the final two, of our eight, Sport Day events this year. The pupils across EYFS had put lots of effort into practicing the different events within their athletics unit of work during their PE lessons, and this hard work definitely showed! Each class/group were absolutely amazing and put 100% effort into each and every one of the activities. Again, a lot of careful planning had to go into ensuring that we were able to deliver a COVID-safe event for our EYFS pupils. Despite the Government restrictions, we were very proud to be able to invite parents and carers to share their child’s first ever Sports Day event with us at Whitehouse Community Primary School. After such a difficult year, it was fantastic to see everyone with big smiles on their faces! A big thank you to pupils, staff and spectators for making of the EYFS Sports Day events a success.

The final results from the Reception Sports Day event were as follows:

KS1 and KS2 Sports Day - 2019/2020

Despite the wet weather in the days leading up to this years Sports Day, we were blessed with dry and warm conditions for our annual KS1 and KS2 Sports Day, which took place on Friday 21st June 2019. A much anticipated whole school event amongst the pupils, this year’s Sports Day continued to be a massive success. As a result, Mr Jordan and Ms Salmon would like to say a big thank you to all pupils, staff, and particularly all of the parents and carers for making the KS1 and KS2 Sports Day a very enjoyable event. The pupils’ effort, behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the day was amazing. It was great to see so many pupils enjoying themselves, competing with massive smiles on their faces and demonstrating ‘The Whitehouse Way’. It was also pleasing to see so many spectators enjoying the event and cheering the children on.

After combining both the morning and afternoon scores, the final results were as follows:

We are now very much looking forward to our upcoming EYFS Sports Day.

EYFS Sports Day - 2019/2020

On Wednesday 10th July 2019, it was the turn of the EYFS children to put their athletic skills into practice during the EYFS Sports Day. The threat of rain certainly did not deter the children and each class, and house, put 100% effort in each of the activities. It was lovely to see so many parents/carers attending the event and supporting the children. Mr Jordan and Ms Salmon, would like to say a big thank you to all pupils, staff and spectators for making the day an enjoyable and successful event.

The final results were as follows:
