Whitehouse Weekly Bulletin 149
Friday 16th April 2021
Message from Mrs Hall
Welcome back to an exciting Summer Term at Whitehouse! The staff have been very busy planning some great lessons for the children. If you are unsure about what is covered in the Whitehouse curriculum, please check the class newsletters or the school website for more details: https://www.whcps.org/our-enquiry-based-curriculum/ In addition, we will be continuing to deliver lots of the lessons outside, so please ensure that the children have coats in school that are clearly labelled. Thank you for your continued support.
Attendance for the Week before Easter
Class with the Best Attendance – Puffins (99.2%)
Assemblies
The theme of our assembly this week will be on: What do we mean by ‘adequate standard of living’? (UNRC Link: Article 27 I have the right to a good enough standard of living). Resources related to this assembly will soon be available on our website. To access them, simply go to Learning and click on our Enquiry Based Assemblies.
Reading Competition
Congratulations and a big well done to all the children who took part in the Whitehouse Reading Challenge last term. Certificates have been awarded to Lacey, Ivy, Saira, Julia and Sophie who all completed at least six of the challenges. A special recognition goes to Frankie, Nicolette and Kezia who completed all twelve of the challenges. What a great achievement! They each received a book along with their certificates. It is so lovely to see our children enjoying reading and really pushing themselves. Well done everyone!
Year 1
We recently received some lovely new puddle suits for Year 1 so they can get messy in their new mud kitchen. As you can see they all had a great time! The children have been enjoying all of the new resources in their outdoor area and making the most of the warmer weather. Thank you to all those who made this possible!

You can either go along to the Copdock or Portman Road testing sites and request a lateral flow kit or you can order them at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests and they will be delivered to your home. Tests should be completed twice a week, 3 to 4 days apart, and all results must be reported to NHS Track and Trace. Instructions on how to report the result are in the test kits.
