Intent of our Swimming Provision
As part of our PE curriculum we provide our Upper KS2 pupils the opportunity to learn and develop their swimming skills. It is our aim that ALL of our pupils will access swimming lessons during their time at Whitehouse Community Primary School. Pupils in Year 5 will attend swimming lessons once a week for a whole term. During their swimming lessons pupils will be provided the opportunity to increase their confidence and competence within the water. Additionally, pupils will be learning how to perform an array of swimming strokes as well as pool based safe self-rescue.
