Year 5 – Felixstowe Port trip (Group 1)
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are writing to inform you about an exciting trip we have organised for Year 5 next half-term, in connection with our Geography topic on trade. We have booked a trip to Felixstowe Port. During the visit, children will learn about how the port deals with imports and exports. While at the port, the children will remain on the coach as they receive a guided tour showing how each part of the port works. The trip will take place on Thursday 19th March.
The coach will be departing school at 8:45am. With this in mind, your child will need to be in school at 8:15am. The children will return to school before lunchtime, therefore normal lunchtime arrangements will apply.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience geography in their local area.
The cost of the trip is a voluntary contribution of £10, which covers coach travel and the guided tour. No child will be excluded if parents are unable to contribute; however, contributions help us continue to offer valuable learning experiences. Any amount you are able to contribute is greatly appreciated.
At Whitehouse, we value educational visits as they enhance learning and provide first-hand experiences. This trip forms part of the curriculum, and we expect all children to attend. If you have any concerns, please contact us to discuss these.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Miss Clifton, Mr Christopher, Mr Trimmer
