EYFS Reception – Trip to Easton Farm Park
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are writing to inform you about an exciting trip we have organised for our Reception children in line with their Summer 1 topic ‘Stuck in the Muck!’, linked to farm animals and farming. We will be visiting Easton Farm Park, where the children will be able to take part in hands-on learning experiences and a range of activities linked to the Early Years curriculum.
The trip to Easton Farm Park is planned for Thursday 30th April 2026. We will leave school promptly at 9:15am so please make sure your child is in school on time (by 8:50am) so that we can all make the most of the day. At the end of the day, we will be back in time for the usual pick up arrangements.
For this visit, your child will need to wear their usual school uniform with comfortable footwear (e.g. trainers – not sandals / open toe shoes please). We will be outside for the whole visit so your child will need to be prepared for either wet weather or sunshine - please pack a waterproof coat and a sun hat.
All children in EYFS are entitled to a meal provided under the Universal Free School Meal funding. If you would like your child to be provided with a free school packed lunch please indicate on the attached form. Otherwise, please provide your child with a packed lunch and a drink (no glass bottles, sweets or fizzy drinks please).
The cost per child is a voluntary contribution of £18.00 which covers the cost of coach travel and educational activities. Payments can be made either via the school office or on Arbor.
At Whitehouse, we value the importance of trips as they help the children to engage with their learning and provide opportunities for the children to deepen their understanding through first hand experiences. Please remember that educational trips are not intended to be optional as they are part of our school curriculum. The Easton Farm Park visit will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn, play and connect with animals, in a fun and interactive environment.
Please return the attached consent form by Friday 17th April 2026.
If you have any questions about the trip please feel free to come and speak to your child’s class teacher.
Thank you for your continued support.
