Science Ambassadors
In January 2022, Whitehouse recruited their first-ever Y5 Science Ambassadors as part of the Primary Science Quality Mark Silver Accreditation which was achieved in September 2022.
The Science Ambassadors scheme was set up to enhance pupils' life skills as well as free valuable teacher's time which could be used for planning.
Whitehouse Science Ambassadors are responsible for:
- maintaining science equipment
- monitoring stocks
- bringing science equipment to teachers prior to lessons
- taking science equipment back to science cupboard and store it safely
- running lunchtime activities for Key Stage 1
- assisting teachers in lessons.
