Site Maintenance Worker

Salary details:           £26,402 - £28,142 pro rata

Working hours are: 27.5 hours per week (12.00pm to 6.00pm with 30 mins break).  44 weeks per year

 

Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will have responsibility to lead a team of cleaners, to do in-house repairs and improvements as well as contribute to the overall management and security of the site.

 

This includes:

 

  • Locking and securing the site each evening and unlocking in the morning if cover is required
  • Routine and emergency site repairs, maintenance and refurbishment
  • Contributing to the planned preventative maintenance routines
  • Routine health and safety and site checks
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Porterage
  • Ad-hoc cleaning

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • A range of DIY skills, including plumbing and carpentry
  • Excellent working knowledge of the maintenance and development of an educational or commercial setting
  • Understanding of building regulations and health and safety policies
  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to prioritise the tasks in hand
  • Resilience, and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of an effective team
