Year 4 – Sutton Hoo Visit

Dear Parents/Carers

We are writing to inform you about an exciting trip we have organised for our Year 4 children in connection with their curriculum study of the Anglo Saxons.  If your child is in Squirrels or Foxes then they will be going on Tuesday 15th November and if your child is in Hedgehogs they will be going on Wednesday 16th November 2022.

It will be a wonderful chance for the children to take part in an archaeological dig, have a tour of the burial mounds and to become explorers at the exhibition.

We will leave school at 8.30am and return by the end of the school day.  Your child will require a packed lunch, drink (NO GLASS BOTTLES OR FIZZY DRINKS PLEASE) and a snack.  

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals please indicate on the attached form if you would like us to provide a school packed lunch.

The cost per child is a voluntary contribution of £10.00 which covers coach travel and admission.

The trip has been placed on Arbor, so you can give consent to the trip, order a packed lunch and pay the £10.00 cost via the Parents App.  If you do not yet have access please speak to a member of the office team.  Alternatively, please return the enclosed form to the school along with payment in a named envelope.
